Social Studies Department
GOALS:
The
primary goals of the Social Studies Department, as part of a Christian,
college-preparatory program, are to help our students develop an awareness and
concern for all people, and to become responsible citizens in a democratic
society.
OBJECTIVES:
 | to
examine historical and sociological events in light of moral values;

| to
help students develop the skills necessary to think, read, write, and
analyze effectively;
|
| to
encourage students to develop the ability to think critically;
|
| to
prepare students to meet the social, economic, and technological challenges
which face them in today's world and in the future.
