Markus Howard, indoor track

In a meet against Marian this week the senior captain from Randolph placed first in the 55 meter race (7.21 seconds), 2nd in the 55 hurdles (10.0 seconds) , and 3rd in long jump (15"1).  Howard is also a member of the outdoor track team.

Christine Duffy, girls basketball

The senior captain from South Boston recorded her 1,000 career point in a win over Austin Prep.  Christine became the 10th girls basketball player in the school's history to record 1,000 points.  Duffy is a four-year varsity starter, who was instrumental in the team's Division 3 State Championship during the 2007 season.

Meghan Zaleski, girls hockey

The senior captain from Lakeville has lead the Lady Bishops offensive attack this season.  Zaleski plays center on the team and has recorded 10 goals and 7 assists for 17 points so far this season.  The girls hockey team hopes to qualify for the state tournament.

Matt Previte, boys hockey

The sophomore forward from Holbrook played well and scored the team's first goal of the game in a 2-2 tie with perennial league power Austin Prep.  Previte is also a member of the boys' varsity lacrosse team.

Casey Capello, girls basketball

The senior captain from Hanover netted her 1,000th career point in a 52-35 home win versus Notre Dame Academy.  Capello, who plays forward,  joins teammate Christine Duffy in the 1,000th point club.

Ricky Titus, boys basketball

The senior captain from Randolph has poured in 79 points in his last three games (all wins for the Bishops).  Titus scored 19, 31, and 29 points respectively in victories over Bishop Connolly, North Cambridge Catholic, and Cardinal Spellman.

Jill Connors, swimming

The sophomore from Dedham posted a time of 1:20.25 in the 100-meter breast stroke earlier this season.  Connors' other top event is the 200-meter individual medley, and her versatility and tremendous work ethic are a great asset to the swim program.  Jill is also a member of the cross country and outdoor track teams.

Akilah Mateen, indoor track

The junior from Brighton saved her best high jump performance of the season for the league championship meet as she placed first with a leap of 5'0".  Akliah also placed 6th in the league in the 300-meter race.  Mateen has also been a member of the cross country and lacrosse teams for Archbishop Williams.
